The total length of the 5 necklaces is approximately 64 cms.
Weight: 0.292 kg.
Materials: Bronze, wood.
Presumed age: First half of the 20th century.
Large Akan pendant (Baule ethnic group), made according to the lost wax principle.
The pendant is attached to 5 necklaces using a small wooden stick.
Such jewelry was worn by Baule leaders or high ranking dignitaries at large ethnic gatherings.
Beautiful patina left by time.
