    Traditional Agni guitar - Ivory Coast
    Product Description
    ENGLISH SPEAKING
    Dimensions of 89 x 32 x 9 cms.
    Weight of about 1,290 kgs without packaging.
    Materials: Dense wood.
    Presumed age: Mid twentieth century.
    Beautiful traditional Agni three-string guitar with painted patina.
    This is a standard guitar, in relatively good condition, and the strings can be stretched. This is not a craft item or a reproduction.
    The identification "Agni" is facilitated by the end of the handle, presenting a face with typical Agni guns: ringed neck, cap with vertical braids.
    The name inscribed on the guitar, "M. Eseri Jeannot dit Dagbeon", also corresponds to an Agni name. It is inevitably its former owner.
    Present in many books, the traditional Akan guitar rarely has such a finish.
    Museum quality piece.
