Vintage 59cm Eddy Merckx frameset

Used 59CM Eddy Merckx “Mexico” Frameset.
Made in Belgium
Serial # 6968E (see photo of number stamped in the bottom bracket)
Columbus tubing, Campagnolo dropouts, pantographed flat fork crown and seatstay ends. Forged (Italian thread) BB shell with top mount cable guides. Headtube and Bottom Bracket have been faced, threads chased. The blue paint and decals show scratches and wear, but no dents or dings. Has never been crashed. Frame has had the JP Weigle Frame Saver internal rust preventative treatment.
This is a classic 1980s "century design" handmade steel frame. Clearly inspired by DeRosa.
Also included with the frameset, Campagnolo Super Record Headset, Cinelli 1A Stem 120mm, Cinelli 64/42 handle bars and an American classic 27.2 seat post (seat pin included).
